Still need a little post work but overall I was very happy with what I was able to do with my Epic.

The DSLR is definitely getting used less and less nowadays :)

    Nope.

Some friends asked me to shoot some stills.
First time where I left the DSLR and tried the Epic. Some of the shots were really low light and the newer firmware that offers slower shutter speeds came in handy.

Just the first time where I relied on the Epic for nothing but stills! Was a fun shoot.

    Just thought I'd share :)

    Thanks Scott,

A few buddies of mine put the event together and invited me. I own the white one. Unfortunately, the house is not mine! :)

Here's a link to another recent clip (2 short ones) where I did a test shoot with the new 1 fps mode with 1/2 s shutter. Shooting clouds in the dark! Too cool!

    Yeah, that's a forklift tattoo. I wasn't always a cinematographer :)

What frame rates and shutter speeds were you playing around with? Just curious.

I enjoyed having the ability to play around. As I wasn't shooting video, I wasn't locked to shutter speeds around 1/48.

I could drop to 1/2 s if I really needed to. (which is where it starts to get fun as you don't have a lame video camera) flexibility... Nice surprises with newer firmwares... RED is really good.. the longer I own it the more I like it.
