In the scene (shown as the still image for the video), where one guy has a remote control FF and the guy on his right seems to be remote controlling the rig ... are the rig's movements already pre-programmed using motion control, and the operator is just changing the speed at which the movements take place?

I would guess so, as there would seem to be too many variables to control, even for two guys just operating the motion control (assuming the 3rd guy on the far right is also controlling a part of the motion control and the 1st guy is the FF).

I thought they were shooting in 3d, guess it's all in post. Kind of a letdown. But pretty cool.

Just read a few articles on this, and that's fantastic, I didn't know they made the decision not to shoot or post-process it in 3D.

He's not controlling the rig, he is focus pulling on the other camera. If you look closely he has the same hand unit as the other guy and there is a camera op's head in the frame at the bottom and you can see part of a french flag. Action scenes always shoot multi cam.

There are multiple cameras rolling. The guy on the left is the AC pulling focus for the crane camera and the guy to his right is te AC pulling focus for the handheld camera seen at the end.
