No Idea but i know i need to know and hope Red can tell us.
Hi guys,
Actually this started with 3.3.3. Its in those notes as well.
What this means is that the camera HD-SDI monitor timing is cross locking to a non-matching genlock source. For example, your HD-SDI monitor rate is 23.98, but you have accidentally set your Gen-10 to 29.9. The camera electronics are capable of generating a perfectly fine 23.98 for the monitor and sensor in this way, and in the past you would have gotten a green GEN icon. But two cameras operating this way are not in sync with each other, because there is essentially a pull-down going on that can not be coordinated between the two.
So now, starting with 3.3.3, we can detect this condition and flag it to you as an indication that some settings are not as you intended. When you see this, double check your HD-SDI frequency setting and your genlock source settings.
Hope that helps.
That very cool, thanks for the clarification Dave!
Thank you for the clarification
Thanks guys, I had this too and was afraid to ask :)
Good feature, BTW
