Similar yet different from the Batteries for DIT cart thread . . .
We've finally got a Bigfoot cart in, and are about to start kitting it up. First priority, in my opinion, is to set it up with a 2U UPS (feel like a 4U or 5U would be taking up too much space. A 2U should provide us with enough time, in the event of power loss, to halt transfers and transcodes, and power down safely.)
I think we'd need something like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...0VA_RM_2U.html
We'll routinely be running a Mac Pro with Red Rocket card, 2 GRaids, Red Station 1.8", HP or Dell GUI monitor, and Flanders 17" broadcast spec monitor.
Is anyone using the above linked UPS? Is there anything else someone would recommend for a 2U solution? I'm inexperienced with adding up all the various power draws to figure out the needed Voltage/Wattage requirements. We may eventually add a Cache-A ProCache 5 to the mix, or a in-tower RAID setup, or both. Which may be too much for any 2U UPS to handle.
So what are people with carts using? Any other product/brand I should be looking at?
