been thinking on this.. since i do not have the CP's maybe a lens tech or CP owner could chime in on this:

what woould happen if you mount these canon cine lenses on a zeiss ZE to PL adapter from the CP.2 series? would it fit/work? since canon mount should be canon mount, maybe with a shim? this would supply your PL mount on this wonderfull canonglass? normally you would not because you would loose arperture control on all those L lenses etc, but since this one is fully manual?

another thought; zeiss ZF with nikon to canonring and then the zeiss canon to PL adapter.. would be a bit like the b-stock superspeed I monsters (=

Won't work. Zeiss doesn't use an adapter to go between PL and Canon EF mounts. You remove one mount and replace it with another.

    Guys relax,
It's just a matter of swapping the mount.
Either Canon will supply the mount (most likely) or I can make one easily enough, or any number of after market companies will.
with the after market you may not have the i-data (or LDS) initially however. Canon will most likely provide it.
Come to think of it this may be the holdup (on the PL) They need to put in the electronics to translate the Canon EOS protocol to either i-data format or LDS.
With the EF mount it's already in the right format....
