I really could have used this on my last shoot with lots of potato flakes (snowflakes) flying around and getting in my Scarlet. Good idea!

The question is- have you done any testing on dust holding capacity? I used to work in the racing industry for a company that produced air induction systems. One of the biggest tests we used to do on filtration media was flow vs dust holding. Basically, a clean filter can flow tons of air, but at what level of dust holding does the flow degrade? I would hate to brick my camera due to a filtration media that did not provide adequate flow when dirty. How do you clean the media? Great idea though! Please take this as a valid question and not knocking your product.
hello,
thanks for comment,
the filter can be placed and removed by magnetic contacts and be easily removed to make it practical to clean, this is the real intention.
can be washed in water as you can see in the picture below:

the price of the filter will be $ 49 sales start tomorrow ...
Paid for my GRID a while back, never heard back anything. My paypal is my name.
Did you work with RED Digital Cinema to ensure that use of your product would not void the warranty?
Note: Someone earlier pointed out that once your filter begins to fill - and before you wash it out - the airflow could become restricted. That could lead to problems...
If you did work with RDC, have they endorsed your product?
Did you get permission to sell on this site (are you a sponsor?) or permission to use the images of a RED camera on your website?
Not trying to be negative, just want to help you avoid being jumped on by lawyers... Seems to be going around a bit recently...
As he said before, better the filter than the camera. if you fell that there is a lot of dust on the environment, just quickly unplug and make a fast cleaning and plug it again.. the cooling components are isolated from the electronics components, but if there is excessive dust accumulation inside the ducts, it may result in overheating because the air will not flowing.. and no airblower can make a full cleaning of the dust insite the heat sinks..
If you like to have a good flow of air but also a good filtration, you need to shape it. The filters are normally folded to balance the area needed for the filter-material. Extreme good results are given folded and spatially expanded. Like here http://www.knfilters.com/cold_air_intakes.htm
Well, that is based on my time as Motorcycle Race shooter (and part time mechanic if we traveled far.)
The folding and spatial shape allows even "dirty" to function fully. (Dirty -- always to a certain degree)
Just my two engineering cents ;o)

Interested - but shipping is (yike!) another $30 for a 1oz (?) item. ouch.
