Not unless your switching ZF lenses on a C300.... Had a friend blow a C300 hot swapping ZF lenses. Kind of funny when you think about it...

There's a lot of computer processing talking to a lens, it has to talk to the lens constantly in case you make any adjustments i.e. focus, aperture. So it should be due to Early Firmware issues of the c300, I believe. I guess Canon didn't realize that, Real Professional Cameras are designed to handle lens changes during operation. Crazy, but I know.

Sometimes I don't even STOP SHOOTING when changing lenses, much less power down.

Might be worth asking about specifics, like the Canon/Nikon electronic mounts, but dumb mounts, no problem at all.
