I want to warn anyone out there that may be looking at this auction on ebay & or bidding on it that it is bogus!

Yes, I actually got ebay on the phone and they are looking into this...

These are my pictures & write-up from when I sold this lens back in January. The write-up is so specific to me that it's comical that they would use it again. I contacted the nice gentlemen that I sold it too and he still has it & loves it. I also sent a message to the supposed seller calling him out on the fact that this was my auction & item previously.

The auction holder has only sold 2 relatively cheap things and has apparently purchased several low dollar items for his sport bike.

Hopefully ebay will pull this auction. I just don't want to see anyone get defrauded out of nearly $9 or $10K!

UPDATE: EBAY Looked into this auction & pulled it!

If you are unfamiliar with purchasing production gear on ebay, do your homework first. If a seller has low feedback transaction numbers & even worse if those numbers are made up of small petty items / transactions, It's highly questionable & you should probably avoid it. If it's a high dollar TV / Film equipment and the sellers has never bought or sold any type of TV / Film gear it's usually another red flag. Look closely at the Feedback transactions for that seller.

If a seller is legitimate & has an item of significant cost they usually shouldn't have any problem speaking to you over the phone, explaining why they are selling the item, where it came from etc.

Ebay is a great place for buying & selling used gear, just be cautious and make sure that they are legit sellers that you are dealing with. If you are selling I propose that you give background info on yourself, why you are selling, etc. It usually makes people feel more comfortable about bidding on your item & brings in more money at the end of the auction for you.
