  1. #1 Recording Error: ROCKETIO
    Has anyone experienced this yet?

I get this often with build 14, it stops recording in the middle of a take and it says recording error rocket io (or something pretty close to that).

i switched from 4k 16:9 to 3k 16:9 and it seemed to go away. i cant be sure though, i was switching back and forth all day today, and it happened often. tomorow i go back to build 13.

    Zak,

We got the same error while testing ramp. The warning could be replicated by ramping from 2fps up to 25fps with relative shutter engaged. Didn't test past that. Recording to Red Drive.

We also had like a stutter/lag using the Red LCD in 4k 16:9 @RC36. Fixed by going back RC28 and changing resolution/fps back and forth.

I had a weird issue tonight where my capture stopped and began playing a 2-sec loop of an action.. The camera had to be forced off

We saw the ROCKETIO error today, but it showed up on playback, not during shooting. We were shooting 3K Varispeed and when we switched to playback from Camera mode, the screen jumped a few times, and then it would not playback, giving the error message.

Also, once today, the Camera didn't boot when powered on, and the rear screen just displayed some strange pixels. After a couple minutes, we just cycled power, and it booted fine, but it was a bit strange.

The Matrix screen saver during the Black Shading calibration is cute.

I get rocketIOerror too with build 14. I also get monitor lag with RC36. I also get the strange pixels on boot sometimes. I wonder if I am restarting too quickly.

One other issue we noticed in build 14 is that the tiny Resolution Display on the LCD/Viewfinder reads incorrectly when in 3K mode... it still reads 4K.

(On the rear panel, the display reads correctly at 3K , it's just the LCD (monitor) output that is wrong. Most likely a simple oversight that will be fixed in the next build)

    Anyone else seeing this?

I had the same problem using build 12 with CF-cards, changed cards, rebooted, left the camera off the power for about 30min (It happend when I was checking out at the rental company) and formatted the CF cards. Nothing helped. The rental company never saw this massege bevore.

I decided to reconfigure the camera (checked all my project settings), after I did that the camera worked fine, never had the problem again.

I had the same (only once yet) just after upgrading to build 14 (from 13). First time I've booted up with new build it shown the stange rear screen with pixel, but I didn't let the CF card (that contained the update build) in the slot, so I thought that was why, and powered down the cam, wait at least 15 seconds, insert the CF card, power up the cam again and no more problem.
