On the other hand, there were a lot of experienced folks who tried really, really hard to give good, honest advice - we just got labelled backstabbers and worse by a bunch of people who didn't even bother to read our posts.
Personally if I post a question on Reduser, I want people to tell me what they think of my idea - good and bad. Not just go "great! great! great!" even if they see serious problems.
If I have reservations about a project, I like to state them honestly BEFORE a Kickstarter gets started. Because that's too late to offer critical advice when someone posts "HERE'S MY KICKSTARTER!"
Anyway, that's why I'm on Reduser. If Reduser changes to a forum where nobody can take criticism then I am out for sure because I certainly aren't here for ego-stroking. I'm here to learn from people smarter and more experienced than me.
EDIT: and of course - find collaborators, give back advice when I can, communicate with the RED team, etc. But the real wealth of Reduser is the number of experienced people on here who give you their wisdom freely, without sugarcoating. Love it.

It's not criticism of the type Bruce offered that is the problem ... it was the mean personal attacks, which have become all too frequent on this forum. They are souring the whole community, and they are going to end.
Anyway, enough of this drama queen shit. Let's drop this topic.
