  1. #1 Running with the Bulls on Epic
Hey guys, I was lucky enough to get flown over to Pamplona, Spain to shoot on a documentary about the running of the bulls (which I picked up through this forum!)

Here is a shot from the festival, still have to go through it all and get together a proper edit, so fun to shoot and the camera performed flawlessly!

So in love right now ;)

WOW. That kid got fucked up. I spent all my childhood summers in Spain, at my grandma's house, and am very familiar with encierros.

I can tell you right now half those people in frame are tourists and have no fucking clue what they're doing.

    Cool shot though.

AAAAAArrgghhhhahahahahahaha epic is still in one piece thankfully! :)

The festival was insane, long days with very little sleep because the Spanish know how to party! It was nut, would aim to be in bed by 10pm to get up and secure my spot on the run at 5am and all the people from the night before partying would be hanging around hoping to be involved with the run that morning.....utterly stupid if you ask me!

Thought I would run but after seeing all the drunks and amature's running I happily stayed on the right side of the fence.

That guy certainly got dealt some punishment hahahaha, yep all tourists! They go there with no idea of whats involved or the respect they have to show the animals.

Will upload some more clips as soon as I get a free miinute :)

Haha. Yeah when I was a teen we would all empalmar (stay up all night), and then trudge down to the encierro to watch the bulls run (after getting breakfast). We did this EVERY MORNING. For a week.

Totally awesome. I'd go to bed every day at 9am and wake at up 2 or 3 for lunch. My abuela usually took it easy on me and let me sleep in!

    Good times. Great memories.

Can't wait to see the rest of your footage!!!

Awesome stuff... That clip is nuts... In slow-mo you can see just how close that dude got to getting trampled hard. Amazing.

Tristan, in that picture are you rocking 5" touch, quad module, outrigger handle and side handle and that's it? I love minimalist rigs, and when you're that compact/light, it just makes it fun to shoot around all day.

You crazy Spanish, i'm only 29 and I can't get myself to do all nighters like that anymore! haha

Yep, I love that setup, super minimal setup, I really love it that way for long days with lots of shots (handheld of course)........I was lucky here because of the lack of sunlight but when I was in the bullring direct sunlight and the LCD just dont mix! Sooo hard to see where my sharps were, definitely looking into viewfinder options. Love the Redvolts purely for keeping the size down if I need it, quad batt holder is great for resting on your shoulder and the quater turn and it's suddenly un-mounted is PERFECT!
