Just plugged a MicroForce controller into the GPIO port on my new Pro I/O module via a Preston Red-MF cable (the one that worked great on the Red One body) and immediately got a message which said in effect there was too much current coming out the port, and it seemed to go into a "safe mode" which was nice, rather than just blowing the fuse on the Microforce (or worse). Are Microforces suppose to be getting plugged into the AUX port? If so, I guess a whole generation of Preston cables for Red are obsolete.
Does anyone have any expertise on how to make this situation happy? I've dug into the GPIO menus a bit, but quite frankly they're a bit overwhelming.

    Thank you,

Exact same thing happened to me when I plugged my Viewfactor Origo start/stop switch into the Pro I/O GPIO port. The Origo draws a minimal amount of power, so maybe it's a matter of tweaking the multitude of configurations in the GPIO menu......or perhaps a firmware bug?

There is no configuration for the power out ports. If you are getting this message the hardware's over current circuit has tripped.

The GPIO menu lets you assign any action to the 4 general purpose inputs found on the PRO I/O (for both the rising and falling edge).

Right now my Aux power port are useless.I get the same warning. I have contacted RED and they don't seem to be aware of the issue. I wish they would plug something into the aux port in there lab and see what the issue is instead of saying to send it back when there are multiple people with this problem.

This is still an issue. I wish someone at RED would address this. Its beginning to look like the Aux power is never going to work

    Paul,
I have no answers, but with the latest release version of firmware, I WAS planning on using my Pro I/O more regularly.
What are you plugging in, and what is happening?
Are you talking to tech support at Red?
    Thanks,
