Speaking for myself only - I already own the 35 and the 85 so, rather than sell them and trade up to the cinevized versions, I just sent them off to Matthew Duclos for the cine mod. They de-click, add delrin focus rings and an 80mm front hood (77mm filter) and lens cap. I have the 8mm Fish Eye cine on order at B&H but they are backordered, supposedly due in stock yesterday (8/10/12) but I haven't heard anything yet.

When it comes to the 14 & 24, I want to buy them when they are available, but I would consider buying the still versions if, when I get mine back, I see that the Duclos versions are nicer. Keep in mind, the real difference is only about $100; the Cine versions look to be about $50 more than the still versions. Meanwhile, it does not appear that the Cine versions from the mfgr have 80mm front ends and caps. So, you may end up wanting to buy those items from Duclos anyway (or, you don't have to in either case). So, just to add the de-click and the focus ring by Duclos is $160 - $110 more than the cost of buying the Cine version from the mfgr.

I really do hope they add a 50mm to the set and I think they'll have a really credible low budget set of quasi-cinema lenses.

I just wish Samyang would have improve on the 14mm. Too much distortion. Your only other cheap option is the tokina.

I believe you're comparing two completely different products.

Terry, a "review" would be much appreciated when you get this lens. I am especially interested in how it compares optically with the other Rokinon leses you already have.

    Thanks!

I am thinking of picking up the 35mm T1.5 from B&H, will post test and possibly a review next week as I am working next 6 days =X

Best part is they come in nikon F mount, and I use Nikkors with my R1. I was under the impression they were only being released in EOS mount.

Just purchased 35mm T1.5 nikon from b&h (before they out-stock). Now I gotta wait for nikon mount for my epic (lol).

If anyone in NYC area with nikon mount please come by and test this lens. I'm at 42nd and 8th.
