It's best to think of these as "cinevized" still lenses rather than true cine lenses. It does not appear they will be the same size. The cinevized 35 and 85 look pretty much identical to my still versions except for being declicked and having raised rings for focus and aperture.; and they are different sizes from each other. The 8mm cine version I have on order looks to be a different size altogether. There is a lot of info available; try either B&H or go to Rokinon's Facebook page (or Samyang, for that matter). Keep in mind, every one of these lenses is well below $1K. They are de-clicked, decent quality and convenient for shooting motion. They are not Ultra Primes.

So how do you feel they compare optically to other popular still glass?

I have an older write-up comparing the ZF.2 and Rokinon 35mm HERE.
I'll have a new write up on the entire range of lenses that Samyang offers very soon. Subscribe to the blog!

Matthew would know way better than I when it comes to comparing lenses. In fact, it was his write up that got me looking seriously at Rokinon. As for mine (currently 35 and 85, 8mm cine on the way), I have shot both "real life" and some Siemens Star charts and, on a seat-of-the-pants basis, am very impressed. They seem sharper than my Canon L zooms - even at wider apertures, and try as I might when I pixel peep, I can't see a whole lot of CA - it's there, but it seems pretty reasonable. To be sure, I have never shot with and looked closely at footage shot with great PL lenses. But, in my world, these guys are pretty darn good for the money.

I'll try to get some time to post some pics this week but no guarantees right now.

While we are talking lenses here, maybe I can slip in a slightly off-topic question... - In the stills world, I think it is pretty common to leave a clear (UV or haze) filter on your lens all the time for protection. Is this common practice with cinema lenses?

    Thanks.

    Quick test (Bokeh) Rokinon 85mm,
    Epic + ISO 800 + T1.5 (for test purpose) + 60fps
This test might not be proper, it was rush-hour, so much ambient lights, no FF, just run&done, quick edit.
I noticed CA (T1.5), I will do it again with chart.

BTW: Noticed your AllStar mount... how do you like that? I have the Optitek, but thinking of switching... Is the iris control on the MOUNT of the AllStar or the lens itself? I ask because the Optitek is done with the mount...

Even though it's common in the still world, for shooting video most DP's I know never use UV/Haze filters (on their SLR glass). It just tends to add more flare and problems.
