    Hello,

I am experiencing a strange problem with my RED Rocket and was wondering whether anyone else has experienced this or something similar... When I playback a clip (of any size) in REDCine-X Pro with the Rocket enabled, the buffer appears to skip chuncks of frames every second or so, leaving gaps in the loading bar, causing the clip to stop playback once it reaches this spot and hang there. When I disable the Rocket and try playback (at a lower debayer) it plays just fine. Even at 1/8 debayer, with the Rocket turned on, playback has gaps in the buffer and stalls. Transcoding is working fine with no lag or corruption. I have tried running the card in other enclosures on other computers only to encounter the same exact problem. Very puzzling.
I am running the latest REDCine-X, have the most recent Rocket driver and firmware installed, and have the card in a 16x slot in a MacPro.

    Thanks,
    Charley

I have the same issue with my old rocket, RMA to red and they said it did playback and transcoded on their lab machines, so in their opinion it was still "working". I got the same inconsistently and playback freezing before and after the card went to Red, on different machines and different OS, and transcodes were at 1/4 of usual red rocket speeds with occasion glitches frames. The card was over 2 yrs old so I've since replaced it with a new one. Hopefully a future firmware update returns it to a usable condition.

Are all clips not playing, or did you find corrupted frames/artifacts in those clips not playing?
Just asking, because I have exactly the same issue, but only with clips who have artifacts/ corrupted frames.
