I would love to know what happens on the 17-50RPZ as I'm thinking of getting one. Anyone know?

Absolutely love that - sort of sums up the way things exist in an alternate reality here on the boards. (this is where I add that a really solid inside source has told me that the new Dragon sensor is actually micro 4/3 - so all lenses will work)
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...

Simply judging by the resolutions of RED's previous sensors, I would have just assumed that the 6K sensor resolution would be 6144x3240, easily calculated by tripling the dimensions of 2K (2048 x 1080); the pixel count of both the 4K and 5K sensors have worked on that principle, if I recall correctly. Of course, Dragon being a different sensor from Mysterium, it's entirely possible that something has radically changed in the way they determine the number of pixels on the sensor, but I'd have a hard time figuring out why there would be that change.

EDIT: Of course, if the native aspect ratio of the sensor is 2:1, I'd be wrong as well. 6144 x 3072? Sorry, for some reason, it's just fun to guess at.
