I feel like RED would sell twice as many units if they make it stackable like the rest of the modules but, from the looks of it, RED is continuing with the philosophy that the Meizler Module either can't or just simply won't play nice with the other modules. Is the EPIC/MM combination that perfect and complete that no one would ever (or even rarely) want to add additional functionality by adding modules?


...just a small example:

Toia's "mini IO" between the EPIC and the MM would be beautiful combination.

As I understand it: NOT doable under the current plan.

I just don't get why you would sacrifice the ability to add PRO level audio ports to this set-up (A BOB doesn't count).

Maybe the v-mount is optional so that the back of the MM could still have the port for other modules. The pic leaves room for that.

Well put Mark, I to really enjoy the smallness.... if thats a work,,, of the camera and how mobil you become when you dont have a lot of hardware to deal with .

There are a lot of suggestions on this thing.. And yet, I don't think any of us know what it really does... For some reason, I find that humorous...

Personally I think this is just amazing.. I can just hear red's competition: "WTF?! It does THIS now?!" EPIC and SCARLET are moving targets.. This makes them hard to hit.

Mini SSDs are actually the next wave. Nice to see RED moving on these. They will be cheaper than standard SSD drives and will eventually match capacity. Perhaps the new 32gb media will actually be minimag????
