Anyone use the Kessler Revolution P/T Head with Epic/Scarlet? I'm considering getting one for my jib. Looks really nice and the price is pretty good.

There is a new remote head that is part of the new kessler fusion system
and it should be out any month now. It looks sturdier than the old head
even though that is just probably the cosmetic design effect.

Yes I saw that. Looks like it will be more expensive as well. Wasn't their target price supposed to be under $5k?

Sounds like it's going to be around 5k from the FAQ.

A 3-Axis moco system will start for under $6,000.
A basic kit if you have an existing slider would include:
    - Kessler Fusion Brain
    - 2 motor bricks + hardware to configure as a Pan/Tilt Head
    - Slider motor
I'm guessing a lot of that extra cost comes down to it being a digital system with encoded motors.

I use the rev pan/tilt head a lot ... I think it's the best value for under $2k, but it's not in the same ball park as the ones that cost over $10k. "Timelapse" Tom the moderator has a new one i'm perty sure(he's probably under nda), it cost at least 6k when you get all the things you need(i.e. joy sticks, etc). I am perty sure the new one got delayed another month or two also.

If you get the current rev pan/tilt ... try to ask for the one that has higher rpm ... (not sure if they do that now normally), the lower rev one isn't completely smooth. Also if the camera is over 25 pounds and not exactly symmetrically mounted, the $2k version get's a bit spungy and you then have to increase the torque which makes it go less smooth(i'm fine with a scarlet/red prime pro/remote focus in the picture shown). I'm thinking the new one might not be as good for upside down operation since it's a lot smaller(also the newer one i don't believe can continuously rotate - i.e. do a 390 degrees shot). For lenses, on the current one, you need to keep to the 18 to 35 mm lenses, 85mm lenses show to way to much stepper motor movement for my taste(unless your using the pan/tilt head to just lock angles on a jib).
