Hey guys, here are some grabs from a video I shot over the weekend. Epic with Standard Speeds, quick grade in RedCine.

Love everything you shoot, Piers. Do you colour your own work?

Cheers guys - Rob, I usually grade the frame grabs and occasionally the finished piece if it's low-budget, but frequently stuff gets finished off at a post house. I do really enjoy grading the frame grabs!

I also am a big fan of your work (and your choice of old Zeiss glass).
What focal length and T stop is that first wide frame grab on your blog site? There's only tiny bit of portholing.

    Piers,

Well I definitely appreciate your grading of the frame grabs. And I couldn't agree with Daniel more about your mastery of the older super and standard speeds that you use on most of your work.

Always looking forward to seeing more. Cheers.

You can't really beat old lenses on a high res camera such as the Epic - they're a beautiful match. That first wide would have been a 32mm [we only had three lenses]. Just used a set of Cooke S4s with an Epic for the first time today, so will be interested to see how the finished piece looks.

    Thanks for the interest!

    Nice. Music reminds of Tricky.
