I merged a bunch of R3Ds to their corresponding audio clips in CS5.5 and had no problem adjusting the source settings (the raw settings -- iso, gamma/colour space, flut, etc.) in their original timeline. HOWEVER the project was split between two timelines and when I copy/paste them together on a single timeline (for this particularly project I couldn't use nested sequences), I can no longer adjust the source settings of the merged clips. Worse still, when I use "reveal in project" to find the host clip, Premiere does NOT find it and so I have to search for them manually.

Here's the rub; when I manually find the clips in their corresponding bin, and use "Source Settings" to make adjustments of said clips, they don't take on the edited/merged clip in the timeline. I've tried adjust both the merged and original r3d (non-merged) and the changes to the meta data still don't take.

Is this an issue with CS5.5 or am I missing something? Is there a proper procedure or sequence I'm supposed to follow? Because I can't find this issue anywhere, I feel that it's something I missed rather than an issue with software.

    Any clarity/suggestions would be welcomed.
