Since I own a set of RPPs the lens I use most is the 25mm and the beauty lens in the set is the 85mm.

When I go Canon I love the 24mm 1.4L and the 70-200 2.8L IS zoom - both have great bokeh.

Now if a set of Leica Cs were to magically appear in my kit...

    Cheers - #19

21mm and 50mm Zeiss CP.2s seem to be my main workhorses, with the 85mm brought out for any portrait/beauty shots.

Right now, I really like the zeiss standard 14 mm
But for pre-photoshopped skin, I haven't seen anything that beats the old ddr zeiss 80 with glued on PL mount...

85mm PL prime has always been my go-to lens - in the past it was from whatever set the production company rented, and now it's mostly from the RPP set I own.
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...

    depends on the style.
from the tripod, dolly etc its the 50mm and 75mm cooke S4.
handheld wildstyle its the 32mm Ultra Prime.

the rpz 17-50 v2 is the run-n-gun lens for reshoots, establisher, plates etc.

mostly i try to shoot something around T2.4 with primes

in the past i liked the zeiss HS due to their imperfection.
would love to shoot a whole movie on the old panchros though, especially the old 75mm (the radioactive lens hehe)
i owned a set, but it was stolen in the first week on the first project.

did use for a week the red primes, but for me they were not usable in combo with an AC. (but thats just me i guess)
red is not a color, it's a camera.

Why did your AC not like them? The first time the AC's that I use see the RPP's they groan / bitch / complain because "they've heard they are shitty lenses that you can't focus with… etc" But by lunchtime they calm down and it's business as usual. Most of the AC's will eventually admit that the hearsay was wrong and the RPP's are just another tool in the box.
