maybe it was just the one set, who knows. the epic was collimated, then the backfocus was set to the widest lens. he then taped some of the other the lenses because markings were off on some of the other primes. (collimating the red lenses is asfaik not easily possible so taping sounded good).
after a couple days of shooting he wished to get ultras, so he can garantuee spot on fous.he had some problems with the ucma-3, the red primes and markings going off. so we organised ultras.
everything was smooth after that. it was day 6 out of 33. we just moved on with the production by using the ultras.

as i say, cause could be this certain set, i dont know.
didnt have the problems with rpz v2.

Sounds like a set that the rental house needed to take care of - my set is accurate on the focus marks; but could use a few more marks on the barrel - or an AC who just didn't want to use a lens that in their opinion was 'inferior'. (and I've come across several of those guys, who complain about anything that's new or not the way they learned).
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...

My Canon 24mm f/1.4L seems to be on the camera a lot. So does the 35mm f/1.4L.
