    Hi guys,

sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Thanks a lot for the nice feedbacks. Really appreciate. I've seen few works from some of you, and your comments mean a lot to me.

We used a set of RED PRO PRIMES and a PL mount lensbaby as Tom noticed :) We love the RPP, they are amazing. I wish they'd be lighter though. No filtration (except for NDs). Most of the grading were done by Rob Frenette our DIT with REDCINE-X PRO, the shooting days, on location. His first light was there when we opened the R3D into Premiere CS6. We loved it and kept it all the way down the post-process. We asked Rob to come back to finish his work in After Effects once the edit was locked.

We did tried other looks though, but his first intention, done on set, seemed right to us.

The floating debris, we bought them from a Canadian FX shop, and had Pat Potochick (usually stunt supervisor) and his assistant throw them with fans from a condor. We though about using a post-effect, but we decided to go practical as much as we can, early in the preproduction.

From a standing start seems like a video of that magnitude would be impractical. If you haven't, you should make a clip about how you made it happen.

    Great job!

I'm not sure I'm allow to give this info, but it was a pretty decent budget, and moreover Michael Manasseri, our producer, did an amazing job. We didn't document anything during production unfortunately as we focussed on the project itself. Lets say Violent J came to us with some visions and he asked us to make it ours. That is basically what happened and we had a great creative freedom. He was looking for something dark, arty and blurry, and we tried to keep it in that direction.

The cast and location are then all about Michigan. We casted John Forman (aka the Priest) only because he was good and intense in the audition. It's only when I later recommended him to another director that I realized that he also played in an Eminem video (he is opening "When I'm gone").

Let say I enjoy Michigan, period. Winters are part of the game. Last one was actually not worst than France, and when you think about the global warming situation, that is very scary.

Thanks again for your feedbacks guys!!

    UPDATE

I'm happy to announce that Chris Benoit has been selected at the 2012 PROTOCLIP festival in Paris (30th november - 1st december).

About 1500 videos were submitted and only 50 made it into the official competition, so we are very proud that the quality of work from our crew has received recognition overseas.

You can vote online to support the video for the Internet Prize. Follow the link below and look down the list (3rd video starting from the bottom), and click on JE VOTE POUR LUI (which means: I'm voting for this one).

You'll be asked to enter your e-mail address, just to make sure you're not a robot :)

Then you'll receive an e-mail: just click on the link to validate your vote.

the news on ICP's website, where they also announced that we're directing a second music video for them:

As mentioned on our website, the music video Make It Bun Dem, directed by Tony T. Datis for the artist Skrillex, has also been selected and you can vote for it too. We DPed this one soon after wrapping ICP's, and the 2 videos share pretty much the same crew (both were co-produced by Michael Manasseri). So, good job everyone!
