    sorry to start a new thread on this, BUT...I do think its news since we
    now have confirmation that Scarlet will be at least a format that needs redcode processing so 2k is a good bet, but I still think 1080p full raster is the goal, far enough away as to not hurt R1 sales but just as ground breaking in terms of price/performance ratio.

    Now if Scarlet could have a DVCpro HD type codec that did not need processing that would really be a game changer and leave the Red team
    to not have to worry so much about this segment of there customer base
    getting this in firmware for RED One.
