Interesting, to bad the 25 is not also T1.5, to extend the superspeed range 35,50 and 85? Now make a 18mm which is also t2.1 and i'm sold!

    Interesting, I'd never noticed there was a ZF 25mm f/2.8. I thought the CP.2 25mm T2.9 was an artificially stopped-down ZF 25mm f/2.0 similar to the CP.2 50mm T2.1 (non-macro) being an artificially stopped-down ZF 50mm f/1.4.

I wonder why the CP.2 version of the 25mm f/2.0 is being released so much later than the CP.2 version of the 25mm f/2.8?

The ZF 25mm 2.8 was based on the older Contax 25mm 2.8, which itself was already a legacy design when it was released in 1975. It was due for an upgrade.

Thanks Nick, I misunderstood the situation. I thought the ZF 25mm f/2.0 was like the ZF 50mm f/2.0 Macro (had been around as long as the other ZF's, but for some reason took longer to get the CP.2 treatment).
