Yep, getting one for sure. Even if I won't use all of the remote operations for every shot, there are too many useful items on it to pass up. This is what I have been waiting for. SOOOOO glad there is an EVF port included. This replaces the need for the +1 module for me.

I have purposefully held off getting a 3rd party power/port solution like the action products Proteus/Electra setup in hopes that Red would come out with a definitive solution. They have!

One question though... It seems that the bottom of the MM replaces the need for a riser plate on the bottom of the Epic... Will there be an option that allows for the cage arms to be screwed into this bottom plate? That would be a nice addition/modification to the design I see here.

Cheers Red team... who wants my money?

This is an amazing accessory. Seriously incredible.

Just so I understand, to get wireless HD-sdi video and wireless audio, we're looking at $19,300? And to get proxy recording we need to purchase mini SSD's? So to get the full functionality of the Meizler module, we're looking at ballpark $22-25k?

Can anyone clarify weather the proxies are wrappers or stand alone editable files? I think the later but would live some clarification...

We can't disclose that till it is finished going through the certification process... Those are the rules and we need to respect them.

Any chance the module will ever be able to record proxys from R3D playback (at higher frame rates)?

Hey Jarrred, is the front left port on the MM going to be power or EVF? The photo shows an EVF in place, but the details list it as a three-pin Fischer power port...
