Had the opportunity to try out REDline last nite. Specifically wanted to check any differences between the outputs of Red Alert vs. REDline.
I built a curve within Red Alert and output'd the same numbers to REDline and ran the conversion. Took the two into a compositor and ran a diff.
they're basically identical with very minimal difference.
So it would be great if there was an option to spit out a redline command line from Red Alert making it easier to compile a command string and send it to the farm, that would be helpful in batch rendering.

Also, any idea when the 16x9 formats will be supported by REDline? That will be very useful in bypassing Redcine all together and going straight for CLI.
    Thanks!

if there's a difference it's because the curve gui precision is more than what's in the boxes. if you type in the numbers then you should get the same precision and 100% identical results (they use the exact same code for processing).

The make redline command is planned. coming very soon as it's almost done...

Makes sense about precision. I look forward to trying that out!

Maybe wait a day or two. We'll have a new version out that fixes a bug where the command line option was not being read properly in some cases.
