    Apple's been listening.. FCP X just received updates today that provide native R3D support.

    Final Cut has a really trick new feature that does proxy generation in the background for all R3D media so you can work in realtime on almost any device while still referencing the full R3D's for all export commands.

    Simple and slick :) I wonder if it will live link or batch refresh looks via the rmds when changes are made in RCX? RCX is far and away the better tool for tweaking the basic grade IMHO, but premiere doesn't play ball in this regard.

    No no, FCP 7 & Color are as they've always been.

    FCP X now supports R3D directly.

    We just wrapped everything needed for Apple workflow, whether it's for Final Cut Studio or FCP X in to one installer.

    So:

    * FCP X: native R3D support (NEW)

    * FCP 7: QuickTime reference support (as it was)

    * Color: native R3D support (as it was)

    Sorry for the confusion. See my updated post above. We'll clarify it some more. Color always had native R3D support (and Rocket to some level), so that's nothing new.
