Can Read Esata feed my RAID 5?

Has some one tried. to record directly to a table top Raid?

Mag output to RED Mag says supports all Esata protocols?

Could a cable adapter be made from RED lemo to std Esat connector and presto I shoot long doco interviews without interruption of mag changes. have on backup because of redundancy of raid 5 don't have to transfer endless footage fm mags.

But is it possible???? my computer skills are limited to finding photoshop in the operating system of my trusty pc...

Hoping one of the many computer wizzards would answer this as I have a question fm a doc. producer who is interested in usingRED but wants the unrepeatable interviews to be uninterupted and also not only on a drive with no backup..

Thus is it possible to just make a cable and record Esat out of the RED to my Raid 5???

What you're talking about would require a bit of custom made ingenuity but it's certainly not impossible once you tackle the technical end of it. There are some unknown factors but I have no doubt it can be done if approached properly and not done in a haphazard fashion. It might even be something you'll see from a third-party down the line.

As my ability to plug in cables extends just beyond the edison fixture on my wall... a third party accessory cable etc would be wonderful...
