I don't think I've heard anyone talk about sources for cables. I'm assuming the first set does not come with Red.
Any recommendations for mini xlr to XLR and whatever that SDI hook up is?
Thanks
Warren

You get one mini XLR to standard XLR adapter and one mini BNC to standard BNC with the camera, from there you're on your own.
We have made up our own XLR's, power and timecode but have not had any luck in finding the mini BNC's.

I Have been prototyping custom cables for RED and can now offer Cables for:
Audio Mini XLR to Standard XLR & Mini BNC (10.23) to standard Female BNC connectors. I also have Time code Lemo connectors to standard XLR connectors.
These are assembled in the USA and I only use top quality connectors and cables !
PM me for pricing and custom orders I can make any lengths needed.
Dave
You're never "on your own" in the RED User community.
There are several threads about adapter cables. Here are my cable/connector sources:

If you want to build your own Lemo cables, the RED One Operations Guide lists the Lemo part number for each connector. Alpine Electronics keeps Lemo in stock in the U.S.

I have been shipping various cables around the world,
Audio adaptor, 12V Power, Remote Run, Remote extensions, Time Code, Preston, Bartech, AJA down converter power, Fujinon Adaptor, Steadicam, etc...
PM Your requests. Offering custom solutions for users.
For the cables I've been making, I used:
Mogami Mini Quad Mic Cable (Red, $0.64 a foot): http://www.sjmediasystem.com/2893-rd.html
TA3ML - Switchcraft Mini-XLR Connector (wider cable out, $6.29 each)
http://www.audiogear.com/Switchcraft...onnectors.html
NC3FXX - Neutrik 3-Pin XX Series XLR-F Cable Connectors ($2.18 each): http://www.sjmediasystem.com/nc3fxx.html
Use the TA3ML (larger output hole) rather than the TA3M if you are using the Mogami mini quad mic cable (which I'd recommend).
David (or anyone else):
Can you make the 16 pin VF cables - we need a few of them for the external LCDs on our underwater housings. Problem is we need a little longer than the RED supplied and we need to put a cable seal onto the cable (it is just a compression fitting at this point) before the connectors (or at least one end)
is put on. One of my LA customers had someone in hollywood that was going to make them and I sent some 3 foot pieces of cable cut from a regular DVI cable but they said they couldn't wire that onto the LEMO connectors we got from RED. It didn't make sense to me because it was not much larger than the RED cable (which seems to be the RED version of unobtainium). They may just not want to deal with it - as I know it is a lot of wires to jam into that little connector. We are okay if the connector sleeve won't fit around the insulated part and it has to be cut back - we can pot it if necessary. My football and machine shop mangled fingers just won't allow me to solder those tiny LEMO and Hirose type connectors.
Aqua,
I will PM you with my Phone number!

For the XL-LB2 on the http://www.sounddevices.com/products/accessories.htm link.... I'm a little confused by the arrow markings.... does that have a lemo and bnc input to one bnc? Or does the BNC input goto the lemo? Personally I'd find it easier if that were a y-cable... one BNC in and one Out to the lemo; not a bnc into a bnc.
