So I want to put an industry standard matte box on this camera to use with my Nikkors...do I have to buy the $2750 premo Red Rail just to do that?

I'm sure the Basic Production Pack has 15mm rods spaced at 60mm. I can't believe they could be anything else.

The rods on the rail are 19mm, not 15mm
Only the Premium Production pack includes a 15mm adaptor.

There seems to be a 19-15mm adapter, but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't order one seperately.

Only the premium package has a "15mm rods adapter". It seems silly to pay the $2750 price just to be able to bolt a matte box on

The Base Production Package is sufficient to mount a full size matte box. The camera base plate is designed to accept 19mm rods. There is a 19mm - 15mm rod adaptor available if you only have 15mm based accessories.

You only get one front grip with the base package right? Can you add a second one without the full premium package?

If the zooms weight, camera, mattebox and filters come in at what i think they will, then a second grip will be mandatory. Methinks.

Do you know this for a fact? Accs. designed to mount on 19mm rods are set up for a 105mm center line spacing.
