    Guys,

I saw this system in action yesterday.

    1. Very high quality aircraft aluminum. No cheap alternatives.
    2. Smart, simple, strong, practical.
    3. FAST. very fast. Often one lever to tighten, lock or loosen.
    4. Easy to make small modifications to position. (Balancing the whole rig)
    5. Very easy to get to the back menu of the camera.
    6. Can attach plate and battery to the low mode as well creating a nice counter weight as well.

They really thought this through. Not including a pad is a good idea as most people like to fashion their own.
John has really done his research here and I think the price is MORE THAN FAIR for the quality of the machining, etc.

    Andrew,

Folding anything would weaken it. It can be removed with four screws from the RED body OR you could just leave it attached and cut the foam in your case around the handle.

Seems like the least important feature to me, the existing RED handle's don't fold, do they?

I wryly like ET's, but this also seems to be a great product.

I imagine that there is a quick release plates system, so that the Arri base plate snatches to it as nicely as it looked on the video clip.

Also a padded addition to the curvature metal mount is a must for me, love the Arri handles as well.

I'm wryly just glad to have options, and this seems a very good one in deed.

    Keep up the good work.

    Ciao,

I really like the look of this. Solid, simple and do what it's supposed to do. Light weight is a huge plus for my needs.

Any word yet on website, pricing and availability?

    Convincing.

I don't like the Arri handles, unconfortably. I suppose you manufacture your own?

Maybe I didn't say it right.
The handle assembly should fold so I can put it in the case with the camera.
You can unscrew the RED handles or just to push it under the rails.

    Cool.

I think it is FOUR screws that would remove the assembly from the RED body. I do not plan on taking mine off as there are plenty of mounting screw options on the top of the handle.

If I had to ship it in a small case I guess that would be a reason to remove it.

For those of you who travel you will be able to put it in a soft portabrace for carry on, in this configuration. I feel a lot better doing that than puttin it below deck.
