Thanks BKinzel and IndieRentals. Very straight forward and informative.

$310. Ouch. I guess I'll stick with the $95 filmtools mount. I'm cheap.

Thanks for the link, though, getken.
Yep, its the VF Gadgets one. It's a tank, so it holds up in rentals. We also cut a square slot out of the normal Panasonic table top stand so that we can leave that one while putting the monitor on a c-stand.

Excellent. Thanks so much. My only complaint is that there aren't more. Great work!

question: in your lightweight ENG-style set-up, you have the single handle across the top. the audio calls it a "single pistol-grip"--but is that the RED top handle, top handle extender, and two top mounts? or is it something else? and does RED handle accept that microphone or did you mod it somehow (or is it a different handle?) to create that mic set-up? or is the RED handle designed this way, to accept a mic holder?

it is so frustrating to try to figure these things out from pictures on the web, at times...

    thank you for your help.

a little on the pricey side but I use it all the time.
A good find. You may find a slightly more robust (and heavier) mount at modernstudio.com - ITEM #025-4661 * $120.00.

    http://modernstudio.com/newproducts.html

It will mount to c-stand arm, baby pin, and junior receiver. It also has a full mounting plate for the 100mm-spaced bolts.

I had downloaded RedAlert and had a play with some sample footage with that. The great thing with those how to videos are the REDCINE overviews. Seeing the program running in action I am very impressed with what there doing with it!

    well done ladz
