Can anyone give me some help on how to do timelapse in the night with the Epic?
As I understand I need to do averaging of the images. But how do I set everything up? How long exposure etc should I use?
Thanks

Been using the prerecord feature quite a bit in the field. Great addition.
There is a bit of a recognizable lag when you cut and roll again. I am guessing from having the pre-roll initiated.
Thanks for moving things forward.

@Andreas and Paul: have a look at this post, it might help to understand that feature: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...=1#post1137413
So, on reading that thread, the best answer for exposures that take longer than 1 second is still to take an SLR with you and use that instead. The added advantage being a battery that lasts eight hours and doesn't weigh 4 kilos. Sure there's a time downside in post, but not compared to black shading and noise removal from the MX sensor derived image.
