I have been testing M-Logic's Thunderbolt RED Rocket enclosure for 3 weeks now and I am super impressed. I keep hearing about problems with the other enclosures but I can tell you the M-Logic is as solid as it gets. I use it with REDcine-X, Premiere, AE, Speedgrade, and Resolve and I honestly forget I have it plugged in because it just never gives me problems. I have tested it on a MacBook Air, Retina MacBook, and the new 27" iMac and I get perfectly smooth playback at 1/2 res on all.

I put together a little video demonstrating my super mobile Thunderbolt offload/playback system if you want to see the M-Logic in action.

If anyone has any questions or tests they'd like me to do let me know!

Seems a bit expensive for a one slot expansion chassis. For $100 more you can get the Sonnet and have 2 slots if you don't use the SDI breakout. The only real benefit I see with the MLogic is its slightly smaller form factor.

The small size is definitely a huge factor for someone like me. My friends who have Sonnets and Magmas have had issues with those devices. There are a couple threads here on REDuser complaining about problems. Based on my testing I think the M-Logic is way more stable. Not surprising when you look at who is behind it.
