Wisconsin RED Users Group

Much to my pleasant suprise, I'm finding out that there are other RED owners in Wisconsin, and wanted to create an official thread where we can all meet, network, share experiences and concerns, and talk all things Wisconsin filmmaking.

On a more practical level, it's great to have a page where that any potential filmmakers who want to shoot in Wisconsin can go to find RED owners and renters. Or, if a production needs multiple cameras, instead of having to rent from out-of-state, we can pass work along to our fellow Wisconsin RED users. Or, if we need a certain piece of gear, it gives us an opportunity to borrow from one another instead of going through a rental house.

I'm a native not far from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I relocated to Chicago for the bigger jobs but still do a good amount of shooting in NE Wisconsin. I have a pretty decent stock of Epics, Scarlets, Red Ones, and Alexa's right now. Although I'm in Chicago, I agree its good to know who else in the area is carrying gear. Special note is that I don't charge rental tax for out of state productions. Let me know if you need anything.

Great idea for a thread, thanks Nathaniel. Another native WI here. I've got an Epic package with a full set of Canon L glass primes and zooms plus a few speciality lens - Tokina and Sigma. Located in Green Bay. Would love to meet up with other filmmakers in the area. Will be going to Green Bay Film Festival if anyone wants to meet up there.
