The third feature we worked on, entitled "Viva Kappe", is now in theatres here in Japan. You can see the trailer and more info here (in Flash sorry, so not the greatest quality as it seems heavily compressed):

    http://www.viva-kappe.jp/ (site is in Japanese)

Shot on Red One at 23.98fps 4K, using a mix of PL (including Red 18-50) and Canon EF stills lenses (with the Birger/Impero system).

And a couple of behind-the-scenes shots of the camera and yours truly in action!

    Cheers!

I just directed my first feature, Amy Alyson Fans, with Josh Sussman (Glee), Lochlyn Munro (Dead Man on Campus, Scary Movie, etc.), Jason-Shane Scott (One Life to Live, Starship Troopers II), and up-and-comers Brendan Bradley (Squatters, Redwoods, Love Conquers Paul) and Cooper Harris (Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Meteor Apocalypse, etc.). IMDb link forthcoming -- we just wrapped principal photography June 20, now the editor's assembly is going.

It was shot on the RED One Kiwi, Robin Charter's RED camera. Robin's dad shot 24 and Robin is a rock star, he's amazing. I was very happy with the RED footage and just how amazing it all looks, not only because of our great camera team (Henry Coccetti was our gaffer; he's done Crank, Forbidden Warrior, and tons of amazing projects) but just the look of the footage in general. So cool to finally have done something on the RED!

The footage is out of my hands right now until it is transferred to my own RAID on Monday, but I'd love to post some stills when I have a chance and more information as we progress. Couldn't be happier with the RED experience!

I just finished this trailer/teaser but have not set us up on IMDB yet.

    http://vimeo.com/13875773

This script (I wrote) got into the top 25 for Project Greenlight back in 2001. We've shot (on RED) going between two cameras build 21 and 30 (making post very "interesting" :)

We started shooting 6 months ago (nights and weekends thing). I'm currently finishing the edit, color grading and sound mixing myself. Yes, the writer, director, editor and colorist... ugh. But it is COMPLETELY independent and all of my "hard" costs have been under $5,000. 148 scenes, 36 locations, 34 speaking parts and 200 + extras all under 5k.
