Default RED #2594 stolen in South Australia

hey guys,

My RED kit was on it's way back from Adelaide after a doco shoot. Just got a call from the freight company to say that the truck had been parked in Salisbury, SA overnight and someone jumped the fence, cut through the truck's canvas and rifled through all the gear - only taking my pallet load of film gear.
No-one other than the shipping company Hunter Express (and the Ego online shipping service) knew we were shipping the gear back. It seems a little fishy but I'm waiting on the full police report to confirm that only our gear was stolen. It was all in pelicases on a pallet wrapped completely in black plastic.

Anyway, thought I'd put the word out to anyone who might hear of this gear trying to be sold in the coming weeks:

RED One #2594 with 5.6" lcd, Viewfinder, AC power, ARRI MB-20II, ARRI FF-4, Schneider ND .3, 1.2 5.65x5.65 filters, Element Technica Breakout box, EVF mount and 12" dovetail baseplate, P+S Technik Skater dolly with motorised control kit, 2 batts + charger, 1x RED drive, 2 x Diva 400 kit with stands.

Any info would be hugely appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan

Default Stolen Camera

Sorry to hear that Dan,

Publish the PIN number, as that is displayed each time on boot up it's a good (and non-erasable) marker ...

Hi Stuart,
Would there be a record somewhere at RED of the Pin number associated with #2594? I'm not sure we've kept a record of it.
Cheers,
Dan

Default Small Pond

Bummer - good thing Australia is a small pond. They'll have trouble shifting such a rare piece of kit in such a tight-knit community.

This has been marked as "stolen" in our database. If it crosses our path, we are on it.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

wow that does sound dodgy indeed. sorry to hear that. I hope they take responsibility and you get at least your money back. no chance they will be able to sue that gear in OZ or offer it for sale. it ll be so obvious.
