Talking Remote Power Switch

I will be manufacturing a remote power switch using miniature precision Solenoid operated at 12V from power tap. The fixed cost is about $3k and variable cost is about $200 per unit. The more I make, the less expensive they are. Let me know if you are interested. Assuming 10 units, the cost would be $410 each. The solenoid support arm will be precision machined aluminium anodised to dark red colour The assembly mounts on top left 19mm rod. You supply push button switch (or other method of trigger).

Time to availability ex Sydney (Australia) about 4~5 weeks.

Yep, that's precisely the reason I need a solenoid to power the camera up first

Not everyone has the top rods. People with 3rd party top handles, for example. Also, most people in North America won't be using 19mm rods.
