Default RAW port - High Speed port

I just searched the forum with the RAW port and High Speed port keyword and nothing recent comes up. Did anybody ask any questions during the NAB about it?
What hardware we will use to record the RAW data?
What interface is it?
Can we convert full Misterium resolution 4.9K including safe and not safe area to 4K RGB in REDCINE once we capture data via RED RAW port?

A lot we still don't know...

Looks like it's 10G Ethernet over single-mode fiber. We'll need a RAID capable of a sustained 1GB/sec, but actual connectivity and workflow haven't been discussed.

Whatever output comes from the camera will be convertible to REDCODE RAW and REDCODE RGB or any other desired format in REDCINE, supposedly even the 4.5K s35 (2540p) size.

We're all still waiting on the nitty gritty details.

Thanks! What is the actual horizontal pixel count of Misterium including safe and not safe area?

Is it 12642000 elements, 4900 (h) x 2580 (v) ?

Chip is 4900x2580, but active image area is 4520x2540.

Thanks! Graeme.
When getting the RAW via RAW port are we getting all 4900 pixels or just 4520?

That's too be determined, but it's probably just active area.

Graeme

Would be nice to have these extra pixels if speed of the 10GB/sec will allow for it.

As I understand it, only the active area will be usable. The "extra" area is saved for various calibration functions. I suppose Graeme or Stuart would know better than I.

Yup, some of the non-active area is for calibration purposes. But, I don't think the hardware in camera is designed to read more than the active area out elsewhere.
