We are about to head out on the first Red shoot with audio.
Are there any issues with build 16? Does the audio live in the R3D file or a proxy? Forgive me if this question has been answered. A quick search revealed a little info, but I thought I'd ask specifically about B16. We're considering running a secondary audio recorder as a back up, but hopefully it won't be necessary. Any suggestions! Thanks in advance. Jason www.peachtreefilms.net |

The audio lives in the R3D file as well as the reference file (proxy.) So you can recover it if the ref files don't make it.
Good idea to have the secondary audio recorder as many are getting mixed results with camera audio. Hoping the new audio board will make secondary recorders redundant! |

Thanks for the response. We'll play it safe on this one, just to be sure.

No problems with audio LINE IN in build 16, but don't use the 48+ microphones, a lot off noise. Even ot good enough for set noise, god enough as a guide track. Robert |
