Newer style (second generation) Zeiss Distagon T* 1,8/14 - 14mm T2.0. This lens had been listed on my website, but then the lens' owner decided to keep it, because it was renting frequently. It is now available for sale as he has purchased an Ultra Prime Distagon T* 1,7/14.
Although normally considered part of the Zeiss Standard Speed prime set, this lens was actually designed by Zeiss for Panavision, and is a more modern design. Since ARRI had an exclusive right to sell Zeiss lenses for motion picture cameras, they demanded, and got, the same optical design to sell an an ARRI/Zeiss lens (hence the f1.8 aperture, 1/3 stop faster than the other f2/T2.1 lenses). This lens is in superb condition. It has the wrap-around focus scale (feet/meter), geared iris ring, and a brand new PL mount. I post more info later.

We are asking $8900.- USD which is $1000 less than Visual Products is asking for the exact same lens.
Zeiss has always been famous for their Distagons, wide angle lenses with minimal distortion (rendering almost perfect straight lines), with superb sharpness. So far, no one except Cooke has offered a 14mm lens that meets the quality standards of the professional cine industry. Still camera based 14mm lenses do not perform as well as cine designs in this focal length (due to the fact that they are designed for an image plane twice the size). This lens is in excellent condition. A photo is attached. My customer purchased it from the previous owner in Germany, and it has been used sparingly since. I have personally serviced this lens. The PL mount was replaced (dings on the flange) and the engraving was repainted. It needed nothing else. Included are front and rear caps, an ARRI SS-5 Lens Shade, and a custom shipping case. BTW, does anyone have the block diagram for this lens? I wanted to compare it to the Ultra Prime 14mm, since there is not much difference between a 1,8/14mm (SP) and a 1,7/14mm (UP). One significant difference will be that the Ultra Prime version will focus by moving the rear group only. The Ultra Prime 1,7/14 has 14 elements in 12 groups. From looking at the outside of this lens I would guess it to be a very similar optical design.
