It was never intended to glow... hehe. Just like the camera was never intended to be shiny silver. :-)

Heheh, gotcha. I always wondered...

That said, the first scratched sensor you'll get back for repairs will be from somebody trying to stick a little LED light in the lens mount for shits and giggles.
