"This graph is from the calibrated Stouffer data on the 41 step Stouffer chart that I have here. The log intensity is calculated direct from measured raw data from the R3D, then normalized to the 0,1 range." Graeme

Hey Jim, for those of us who don't entirely understand what we're seeing here, is there a chance that you could add another line representing the Mysterium in the Red One as it is now, so that we have a frame of reference for comparison? That would be great. Thanks.
Peace, -Harry |

Looks like about 11.5-12 usable stops?

Graeme's comment was 12 stops, but I'll let him jump in here.
Any methodology you choose... it is 1 1/2 stops greater than the original Mysterium sensor. Jim

Stouffer 4110 is a transmitive step chart that is back lit, every step has a visual density, Is like a series of ND's in one chart (in the case of stouffer 4110 in a 13 2/3 stops range), Jim is showing a 12,2 stops of DR in the stuffer 41 step chart, for M-X sensor...!
It will be great if you post a 16 bit linear tiff frame... Well done Jim.

I'll probably be crushing blacks anyway, so this is the film replacement, right here. The highlights stay in the picture.
* And rate it at 1600. hehe
