The only Canon brand dual charger I see is about $500... Anyone have good results with an off-brand charger for Canon BP-955 and 975 batteries?

Check out Dolgin Engineering. I purchased their TC-200-i Ultra Fast 2X battery charger. Look for the cosmetically imperfect one..they go for around 285.00 before tax.
A new unit will run around 415.00.

Been using a 4-position Dolgin since I got the original C300. Rock solid. AND you can change the battery plates on them to accommodate other batteries.

I got the new Blueshape (their customer support sets a new standard) and have been happy with it so far.

Any off brand dual charger should be able to charge Canon brand BP batteries if made for the correct model (955/975), correct?

Dolgin is the way. Bought their TC400. Important to remember is that it's not only how many slots you can charge with at once, but also how fast it charges. It could make or break a shoot. On Dolgin chargers you can also change the charging mount, so you can have one dedicated to Sony batteries for your monitor while the others charge the BPs.

Watson Duo LCD Charger for BP-900 Series Batteries

I use this with my BP-955's and carry it with me most of the time for my main charger for my Komodo batteries since it is so small and fits in my gear bag. Can't beat the price too. Build quality is just okay as the battery plates can pop-out and be broken easily if you are rough with them but they are replaceable for like $5 for a pair of plates which actually makes them superior to non replaceable models. You can also buy extra plates for NP-F style batteries (use on many other accessories like monitors, nucleus-nano follow focus, wireless transmission systems, etc.) so it makes it a very versatile charger especially for travel jobs. Just a guess but it can charge a pair of BP-955's from 0-100% in about 2-3 hours tops I would say. It's quite fast considering BP series batteries usually take quite a while to charge (3-5 hours) with other brand chargers I have used in the past.
