We are pleased to announce the release of DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1 which is available at no charge for existing customers from our support page. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/sup...lve-and-fusion

Also available on the support web page is the updated DaVinci Resolve Project Server 17.1.
This software update adds support for multiple users on different workstations to open and work on the same project at the same time.

    Pre-installation note
For those using DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio on Windows, we strongly recommend uninstalling previous versions prior to installing 17 Public Beta 5 and higher versions. Going forward, all Fairlight, grading and editor keyboard firmware updates will be managed from the DaVinci Control Panels Setup utility.

    Important information regarding database management
DaVinci Resolve 17.1 requires a database upgrade from DaVinci Resolve 16.2.7 and previous versions. We strongly recommend that you back up your existing database (both DiskDB and PostgreSQL) and then restore that database for the upgrade before upgrading to this release.
There is no database change from 17.0.

What's new in DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1
    • Support for Apple Silicon based Mac OS systems.
    • H.265 4:2:2 hardware decode support on Apple Silicon.
    • H.265 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 Intel decode support in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
    • H.265 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 Intel encode support in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
    • Support for GPU decoding of RED clips in OpenCL processing mode.
    • Option to always perform copy and paste actions on selected color nodes.
    • General performance and stability improvements.

Might explain some of the annoying bugging going on with my media. Constantly saying "media offline" when working on projects, especially when using the Decklink for live tutorials. I have reported it. Maybe someone might have also experienced this too?

    Cheers

I just updated to Davinci Resolve 17.1, and now the "Timeline Working Luminance" for SDR is fucked!!

Now selecting "SDR 100" for "Timeline Working Luminance" for a "REC 709" project for some images completely fucks the Highlight Tone Mapping. You have to use "HDR 1000" or "Custom" "1000" Nits to get the same looking Highlight Tone Mapping as you use to get for "SDR 100" for a REC709 image. Blackmagic Please fix this!!!

I went back to Davinci Resolve version 17.0, now SDR 100 for "Timeline Working Luminance" is working fine again.
